𝐍𝐆-𝐂𝐃𝐅 Committee Continued it’s Public Party Forums
The National Assembly’s Select Committee on National Government Constituency Fund today continued with its public participation engagement forums in different counties.
The subcommittee led by Chairperson Hon. Musa Sirma of Elama Ravine has continued its public participation forums in Elgeyo Marakwet and Uasin Gishu County.
The primary objective of these forums is to gather valuable input, align potential amendments, and address any discrepancies that have arisen following a recent ruling by the Supreme Court.
The NG-CDF has garnered unwavering community support, with its role in combating poverty, reducing school dropouts, and curbing teenage pregnancies and early marriages being widely praised.
Hon. Akuja acknowledged residents’ compelling testimonials, using visible developmental projects as evidence of the fund’s tangible impact.
Hon. Beatrice Elachi urged residents to remain steadfast in their pursuit of development, encouraging them to voice their opinions and unite in prayer for national harmony. She emphasized the paramount importance of safeguarding the NG-CDF from ongoing legal disputes.
Hon. Akuja added that the National Government Constituency Development Fund has played an indispensable role in financing and advancing the most prominent developmental initiatives across various counties.
The community has called for increased allocations in the Sports sector and bursaries, signalling their collective aspirations.
Expressing appreciation, the Chairperson extended gratitude for the community’s robust backing and their active participation in the amendment process. The subcommittee is poised to move forward to Baringo County in its ongoing engagement efforts.
