Something many people underestimate and overlook when picking a partner is the quality of company the person keeps. If their friend group is all about drinking and partying every weekend, that person is far from being ready for a healthy marriage.
You can marry them but you’ll struggle. They could already be on the drug addiction curve and their problem is advancing by the day. Many will promise that they will change as soon as they get married but that’s just a promise with no guarantee. They may or they may not.
People grow and people change, but in most cases people grow in the direction they’re already facing.
They’ll become better at what they’re already doing, what they already value. There are a few people who make about-turns and stop drinking or reveling, but you can’t marry a person while hoping for an about turn.
