The National Council of Churches of Kenya, NCCK, has urged Kenyans to maintain peace before, during and after the forthcoming general elections.
According to the Northrift NCCK chairperson Daniel Barnoa this will ensure that the country conducts elections in a peaceful manner.
“As men of the clothes we are calling upon Kenyans from all divides not to allow ourselves to be used by self centered politicians to cause violence during this electioneering period .Elections will come and go and we should put in mind that our country is greater than an individual,” said the NCCK Northrift boss.
He called on youths across the Country not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to cause violence in the forthcoming general election urging them to shun such politicians.
“I want to call upon youths across the Country this time round let avoid politicians who want to use us for their own political gain, instead youths should register as voters so that they may elect leaders of substance that will help them,” he added.
“ Youths across the Country this time round lets avoid politicians who want to use us for their political gain and should elect leaders of substance that will help them. If they give you money eat but ensure that you vote leaders who will help and not who will steal from you,” he said.
