Mandago’s Tough Message to Those Seeking to Take Over From Him 

Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has urged those vying for the gubernatorial seat come 2022 to campaign peacefully.
Mandago said Uasin Gishu residents should not elect a person who propagates violence.
“I want to call upon aspirants who want to inherit my sit when my term ends to campaign peacefully putting in mind that once elected you will serve everyone whether they voted for you or against you, ” said the Uasin Gishu governor.
Mandago who was elected on a Jubilee party ticket is serving his second and last term in office.
He has however,  not endorsed any candidate to inherit him once his term ends.
Aspirants vying for various political seats in Uasin Gishu County have been urged to observe peace even as the campaign period sets in.
“Let’s campaign peacefully, we don’t want what transpired in 2007 to reoccur because of politics of division, this County belongs to both of us and we should guard it jealously,” Mandago added.
The Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat has attracted many contestants which include former gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich also known as Buzeki, Kenyans ambassador to Pakistan Julius Bitok, for TSC commissioner Cleophas, Uasin Gishu Margaret Kamar Senator, Tirop, Veska Kangogo  among others.
Mandago furthet called on Kenyans to continue following the directives by the Ministry of Health to prevent furthet spread of coronavirus.
“I want to call upon residents to wash their hands before and after every activity,put on facemasks, avoid overcrowded places,  observe one meter social distancing rule and if possible stay at home to prevent further spread of the virus,” Mandago advised.
