Eldoret Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) show is set to return after 2 years break due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The Eldoret ASK show was last held in 2019 .
During the annual show, farmers in the NorthRift region will get an opportunity to be trained on modern farming technology which is aimed at boosting food production in the country.
The theme for this year’s Eldoret ASK show is “Promoting innovation in Agriculture and Trade.
Speaking to the press at the show grounds, Susan Seron chairperson Eldoret ASK show said “The exhibition is expected to be attended by 150 exhibitors who will help educate the farmers”.
“The Eldoret Ask will start on 2nd March and end on 5th March 2022. So far we have over 150 exhibitors who have confirmed their participation.”
Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago, CS Agriculture Peter Munya, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Kesses legislator Dr Swarup Mishra are expected to grace the occasion from the first to the last day.
She further said that all coronavirus protocols will be adhered to and there should be no cause of alarm.
“We want to assure farmers and all visitors that all the CoVID-19 protocols will be adhered to where we have enough hand washing points , we will also ensure that everyone has a facemask and also for those who have not been vaccinated we have a place where thye will be vaccinated,” she added.
Eldoret Show is always the first to occur in the ASK calendar and it’s return signals that other shows across the country will be held.
