All is set for this Sunday’s Uasin Gishu thanksgiving and peace prayer service which will be graced by the deputy president William Ruto’s wife Mama Rachel Ruto
Religious leaders organizing the event on Friday visited the venue even as they asked members of the public to attend in large numbers.
Led by Pastor Christopher Misoi, Bishop David Ng’ang’a and Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed Bini, the religious leaders said the event that will be held at TAC Centre will be purely prayers for the county and the entire country.
“The prayers will be held on Sunday at TAC center will be purely prayers and we wish not allow politics in the function,” said Pastor Christopher Misoi while speaking to the press.
He reiterated that all UDA nominees for various seats and those that participated in the UDA Nominations will be attending.
“We want to call upon Uasin Gishu residents to turn up in large numbers for us to pray for our county and county as we are heading to three next general elections. What we want is a peaceful elections,” said the Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago.
The meeting was also attended by Hon. Oscar Kipchumba Sudi, Hon. Janet Rotich, Hon. Prof. Phyllis Bartoo and the County’s UDA Chairperson,Kiprop, where they made extensive strides in the preparation process towards Sunday’s thanksgiving and prayer event.
Deputy President Dr. William Ruto’s wife mama Rachael Ruto will grace the event among several other national politicians who include Kenya Kwanza coalition principals.
” We still call upon our people to purpose to be part of this great event to be graced by eminent personalities including H.E Rachael Ruto alongside the Kenya Kwanza principals,” added the Uasin Gishu Gubernatorial nominee Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja.
