Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich has launched a Pyrethrum program for Marakwet East and Keiyo North Sub Counties at Embobut Embolot Wards office and Mindililwo Primary school grounds respectively.
The County boss said he is impressed that farmers are embracing this cash crop wholeheartedly.
“This is the game changer that will catapult the economic status of our county.The buyer,Kentegra Biotechnology Holdings is providing farmers with seeds, fertilizers and technical support,”said thr Elgeyo Marakwet governor.
He said farmers will receive their payments via Mpesa within 5 days of delivery.
“I call upon all our farmers to take advantage of this cash crop that will transform livelihoods,” he said.
The governor also delivered an ambulance that will serve Embobut Embolot Ward to address cases that require urgent and specialised care.
