Dr. Catherine Nyongesa, a distinguished Clinical Oncologist and founder of the Texas Cancer Centre, sheds light on the pressing need to go for early cancer screening especially for breast cancer.
The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Dr. Catherine Nyongesa advises:
“The majority of breast cancer cases in Kenya are discovered at stage four, accounting for 37.2% of all cases. This reduces the likelihood of survival. I would therefore take this opportunity to urge all Kenyans to prioritize early screening to increase their chances of survival. Early Detection Saves Lives.”
