Authorities agree on framework to address nurses welfare

The County Government has averted a planned nurses' industrial strike.

The deal was reached during talks led by CEC Health Monicah Rotich and County Secretary Lazarus Chebii, Chief Officer Jeremy Chirchir, County Attorney Dorcus Cheruiyot with the Nurses Union officials Benson Biwott (Secretary), Chairperson Pamela Kiplagat and Treasurer Margaret Kiprop.

Also present were County Public Service Board Secretary Christine Ngeno and Legal Officer Dorcas Biwott.

The two parties agreed on a roamap to address issues raised by the nurses
