Building on sports Potentiality do Achieve More




Policies are being developed to use sports excellence, sports tourism and sensitization on climate action in a multi-faceted approach to prosecute other big agendas.


Speaking on Saturday while representing Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii at the flag off of Youth 4 SDG 10km Run at Moi University's School of Law, Chief Officer for Youth and Sports Mark Some said policies are being created to harness sports in a broader spectrum.


Mr. Some said Dr. Bii's administration wants to stretch and further harness the sports excellence Uasin Gishu basks in.


The theme of the race "I Run for Climate Action" blends with the interest of global economies, trying to work out how to mitigate the effects of climate change. Participants were drawn from Moi University's School of Law and the Eldoret National Polytechnic.


The CO took the opportunity to sensitive participants on the benefits of keeping the environment clean, otherwise will have adverse effects on the larger ecosystem.
