Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor, Evans Kapkea, has urged local residents to take advantage of the opportunity to register with the Social Health Authority (SHA) and secure comprehensive healthcare coverage for themselves and their families. Speaking at the registration rollout event in Kimumu Ward, Kapkea emphasized the immense benefits of being registered, particularly in ensuring access to quality healthcare services that can be life-changing.

"By registering with the SHA, you are not only securing the health of yourself and your loved ones but also contributing to the broader effort of providing equitable and accessible healthcare to all residents of Uasin Gishu," said Deputy Governor Kapkea.

The registration exercise was held in partnership with several local leaders, including Moiben MP Prof. Phyllis Bartoo, area MCA Hon. Sarah Malel, and a host of other MCAs, who joined in encouraging the community to register in large numbers.

Prof. Phyllis Bartoo emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, "Healthcare is a fundamental right, and through the Social Health Authority, we can ensure that no one is left behind. This program will be pivotal in reducing health inequalities and providing affordable, quality services to all."

Hon. Sarah Malel also expressed her commitment to ensuring that every resident of Kimumu Ward is registered and has access to this vital service, noting, "Today’s event is just the beginning. We are committed to ensuring that every person in this ward enjoys the benefits of the SHA."

The registration rollout is part of a broader push by the Uasin Gishu County Government to increase awareness of the SHA and its benefits, ensuring that all residents are covered and have the healthcare services they need for a healthier future.

Deputy Governor Kapkea concluded by calling on all Uasin Gishu residents to seize this opportunity and register for SHA coverage, noting that healthcare should be a priority for everyone in the region.
