Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has appointed Dr. Pius Kiplimo Chumba as the new Chief of Staff in his office, replacing the suspended Nicholas Chepkwony. Dr. Chumba, who was until his appointment a senior administrator at Kabianga University, brings a wealth of experience in leadership and administration to the role.
Dr. Chumba's educational journey began at Kabore Primary School, followed by secondary education at Lelwak Boys. He furthered his studies at Moi University, where he earned both a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil), equipping him with the academic foundation and skills necessary for his new role.
In his new capacity, Dr. Chumba is expected to provide strategic leadership and support to Governor Jonathan Bii's office, working to streamline operations and enhance service delivery to the people of Uasin Gishu. Governor Bii expressed confidence that Dr. Chumba's leadership experience and academic background will be crucial in driving the county's development agenda forward.
The appointment comes amid a period of transition, as the county government seeks to ensure continued effective governance and administration.
