Esther Muthoni Passaris Advocates for Teen Mothers at Greenland Girls Secondary School

In a heartwarming visit today, Nairobi Women Representative, Esther Muthoni Passaris, fulfilled her promise to visit Greenland Girls Secondary School, a transformative institution providing critical support for teen mothers. The visit highlighted the significant efforts underway to empower young women and help them thrive as they navigate motherhood while continuing their education.

The school, in partnership with SHOFCO (Shining Hope for Communities) under their @hope2shine initiative, has been a beacon of hope for over 150 students. These young women have found not only a safe space to heal but also a supportive environment to learn and raise their children. Through this partnership, the girls are given the opportunity to continue their education without compromising their roles as mothers.

As part of her ongoing commitment to empowering women and young girls in Nairobi, Passaris has worked closely with @NGAAF, which has awarded 12 full scholarships to deserving students at Greenland Girls Secondary School. "It is incredibly fulfilling to see the resilience and determination of these young mothers," Passaris said during her visit. "We are offering them a chance to build a brighter future for themselves and their children."

In addition to providing scholarships, Passaris has called on the public to support the Passaris Foundation in its mission to further assist teen mothers. Donations can be made through the following Paybill details:

Paybill: 4637363

"The contributions we receive will go directly to supporting these young mothers, helping them access education, healthcare, and other vital services they need to succeed," Passaris emphasized. "Every contribution counts and plays a role in breaking the cycle of poverty for these young women and their children."

Passaris concluded her visit by reaffirming her commitment to creating an environment where young women can thrive and lead with dignity, regardless of their circumstances. She encouraged the community to come together to uplift and support teen mothers, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of education and empowerment.
