Former KTDA Chairman, David Muni Ichoho, has extended his congratulations to Wakili Chege Kirundi following his appointment as the new National Chairman of the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA). Mr. Kirundi takes over from outgoing Chairman, Enos Njeru, marking a new chapter for the tea sector in Kenya.

In a statement, Ichoho praised Mr. Kirundi's extensive experience, noting that his leadership would be instrumental in driving forward the ongoing reforms in the tea industry. "Mr. Kirundi brings a wealth of experience to the sector, and I am confident that his leadership will ensure the actualization of the much-needed reforms within the tea industry," Ichoho said.

The tea sector in Kenya has been undergoing significant reforms aimed at improving the welfare of farmers and enhancing the sustainability of the industry. As the new Chairman, Kirundi's leadership will be closely watched as stakeholders hope for continued progress and innovation in a sector that plays a pivotal role in Kenya’s economy.

The KTDA is one of the largest agricultural organizations in the country, representing small-scale tea farmers across Kenya.
