Governor Natembeya Vows to Speak His Mind, Rejects Intimidation

Transnzoia Governor George Natembeya has declared that he will not be intimidated by anyone and will continue to speak his mind, especially when it comes to advocating for the people he represents.

Natembeya’s remarks come after a public altercation with Kikuyu Member of Parliament and Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa during the burial of Speaker Moses Wetangula's mother. The incident between the two leaders, which attracted widespread attention, reportedly involved a heated exchange of words.

In a statement following the incident, Governor Natembeya emphasized that he would not be silenced by anyone. "I shall stand and speak for the people. I will not be cowed," he declared, making it clear that he would continue to champion the rights and interests of his constituents without fear of retribution or pressure.

Natembeya’s stand is seen as a reflection of his commitment to a free and independent voice in the political landscape of Transnzoia and beyond. His defiant stance comes at a time of heightened political tensions and power struggles within the Kenyan leadership.

As tensions persist, it remains to be seen how the relationship between the Governor and other political figures, including Ichungwa, will evolve. However, Natembeya’s declaration signals his unwavering determination to maintain his integrity and to prioritize the needs of the people he serves.
