Kabete Member of Parliament, The Honorable Githua Wamacukuru, has strongly condemned the current wave of immature politics being propagated by certain political factions. Wamacukuru specifically took issue with the rhetoric coming from the Rigathi Gachagua camp, accusing them of fueling high-octane political conversations at a time when the nation should be focused on delivering services to the people.
In a passionate statement, Wamacukuru emphasized that this is not the time for divisive political debates, but rather a time to serve Kenyans. He pointed out that the government’s priority should be to work toward the betterment of the lives of citizens, especially given the many development projects already underway across the country.
The Hon. Githua Wamacukuru has consistently earned recognition for his outstanding performance as a Member of Parliament. Having been named the Number One Best Member of Parliament in Kiambu County on several occasions, and regularly featured among the top ten best MPs nationally, Wamacukuru’s track record of advocating for meaningful development speaks volumes.
The legislator made these remarks on Tuesday when he hosted Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migosi Ogamba during the commissioning of new classroom blocks at Uthiru, Rūkūbi, Ngure, and Muguga Comprehensive Schools. These new classroom blocks, part of a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Education, are set to accommodate junior secondary school learners. In Kabete alone, a total of 40 junior secondary classroom blocks have already been constructed to support the growing demand for secondary education.
During the event, CS Ogamba also commissioned eight additional classroom blocks, fully funded by Kabete NG-CDF, at Rūkūbi and Ngure Comprehensive Schools. This move reflects the ongoing commitment to improving educational infrastructure and providing a conducive learning environment for students across the region.
Wamacukuru, a strong advocate for education, highlighted the significant role these developments will play in supporting the education sector in Kabete and beyond. He urged his colleagues to continue prioritizing such initiatives, which directly impact the future of young Kenyans.
In addition to his focus on education, Wamacukuru reiterated his call for political leaders to set aside differences and work collaboratively for the good of the nation. He emphasized that the time for partisan politics is over and that leaders must work together to ensure the success of programs that will uplift all Kenyans.
As the nation continues to face challenges and opportunities for growth, Wamacukuru’s message is clear: politicians should focus on serving their constituents rather than engaging in divisive politics. His consistent track record of advocating for development and his commitment to delivering tangible results for his people are a testament to the kind of leadership needed for real progress.
With ongoing projects like the classroom block initiatives in Kabete, Wamacukuru's leadership continues to set a positive example for others to follow, fostering unity and encouraging a more results-driven approach to governance.
