Innocent Mugabe Hosts President Ruto for Moisbridge-Matunda Water Supply Project Launch

The Honorable Member of Parliament for Likuyani, Innocent Mugabe, on Thursday hosted His Excellency President William Ruto for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Moisbridge-Matunda Water Supply Project at Milimani Grounds. The ambitious project, spearheaded by the Northern Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (NRVWWDA), is set to provide clean water to approximately 104,000 people across 23,000 households in the region.

The Ksh 1.9 billion first phase of the project is aimed at addressing the growing water demand in the area. The second phase of the project will focus on providing sewerage services to Moi’s Bridge and Matunda municipalities, further improving the region's infrastructure and public health.

During the event, Hon. Mugabe expressed his heartfelt appreciation to President Ruto for the completion of the Soy-Seregeya-Turbo road, which has significantly improved transport and connectivity in the constituency.

Mugabe also took the opportunity to call for the revitalization of several key infrastructure projects that would benefit Likuyani residents. These included the upgrading of the Matunda-Kona Mbaya-Brigidier road to bitumen standard, tarmacking of the Mapera-Kongoni-Fafaro (D1771) road, and the expansion of the Eldoret-Kitale highway. The MP emphasized that these projects are essential for the growth and development of the constituency and would further enhance economic opportunities and access to services for the people.

The Moisbridge-Matunda Water Supply Project is seen as a major milestone for the region, promising to improve access to clean water and sanitation, which are critical to the well-being of the population.
