Kenyan Police Officers Arrive in Haiti for Multinational Security Support Mission

The third contingent of 217 Kenyan police officers has successfully arrived in Haiti as part of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS). The officers, who left Kenya on January 18, 2025, landed safely at Port-au-Prince Airport, where they were warmly received by Haitian authorities.

The team’s arrival was accompanied by key Kenyan security officials, including Deputy National Security Advisor and former Inspector General of the National Police Service, Mr. Joseph Boinnet; Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli; and Commandant of the General Service Unit, Mr. Ranson Lolmodoni, SAIG.

This contingent is part of a larger deployment, with 400 additional officers set to join the mission in the coming weeks. The officers will support ongoing international policing efforts aimed at enhancing security in Haiti.

The National Police Service of Kenya has extended its best wishes to the MSS team as they begin their crucial peacekeeping duties abroad. This mission underscores Kenya's commitment to international peace and security, as well as to the strengthening of bilateral relations with Haiti.
