Kenyatta University (KU) initiated its performance evaluation for the 2023-2024 financial year today, focusing on key areas tied to the university’s performance contract for the period. The evaluation, led by Dr. Ben Chumo, the Chairman of the University Council, and Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Waceke Wanjohi, aims to assess KU’s achievements and progress in critical thematic areas.
The evaluation will cover a range of sectors, including Student Completion Rate, Review of Academic Programmes, Student Mentorship, PhD Degrees among staff, Intellectual Property Registration, Commercialization of Innovations, Dissemination of Research Outputs, Community Outreach Programmes, and the development of the Institutional Repository.
This performance assessment is part of the university's commitment to improving its academic and research standards, ensuring greater community engagement, and fostering innovations that can be commercialized for broader societal benefit. KU's management will analyze the outcomes and challenges in these areas to enhance the university’s overall performance and contribute to the attainment of its goals for the year.
