Kiambu County Woman Representative Ann Wamuratha visited Mundoro, Kiganjo Ward, Gatundu South, where she spearheaded efforts to uplift the local community by providing essential tools and equipment. The initiative focused on enhancing livelihoods, promoting self-reliance, and creating income-generating opportunities.

During her visit, Hon. Wamuratha donated a tent with 100 chairs to the Kiamakamu community group, enabling them to host communal events and gatherings more efficiently. Small-scale traders received umbrellas to protect their businesses from harsh weather, while aspiring entrepreneurs were empowered with resources such as welding machines, eggs and sausage trolleys, shaving machines, blow dryers, and hair dryers. To support boda boda operators, motorbike canopies were also distributed, improving their working conditions.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Wamuratha reiterated her commitment to fostering sustainable development in Kiambu County. “These contributions aim to empower individuals, create opportunities for income generation, and enhance the overall well-being of the community,” she said.

Her efforts underscore the critical role of grassroots empowerment in driving economic growth and improving living standards for the people of Kiambu.
