Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) today held its annual prayer service at the Hospital's Inter-Denominational Chapel.
Led by Hospital CEO Dr. Philip Kirwa, the event brought together Hospital Management and staff to offer thanks for the past year.
The service, presided over by Rt. Rev. Dr. Christopher Ruto, Bishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Eldoret, and Rev. Luka Maiyo, Bishop of the Africa Inland Church (AIC) Eldoret area, focused on the theme : "Fixing our eyes on Jesus" (Hebrews 12: 2).
In his address, Dr. Kirwa emphasized the importance of ethical conduct and unwavering dedication to patient care at MTRH.
Dr. Kirwa commended the recent High Court ruling that decriminalized suicide and urged staff to extend compassion and empathy to all patients.
The Chief Executive Officer expressed gratitude for the support from Government, MTRH Board of Management, and the dedicated staff in delivering high-quality healthcare services.
The event was attended by Prof. Sylvester Kimaiyo, Chief of Party AMPATH Plus, Dr. Florence Jaguga, the Ag. Director Mental Health and Rehabilitative Services, Prof. Canon Paul Nyogesa, Hospital Management Team and members of staff.
