Mwala MP Champions Educational Development with New Classroom Construction at Kavunyu Comprehensive School

Mwala Member of Parliament, Hon. Eng. Vincent Musyoka Musau Kawaya, has reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education and fostering economic development in his constituency with the announcement of the construction of a new Grade 9 classroom at Kavunyu Comprehensive School.

The project, which is set to cost KES 805,000, will involve the construction of a modern classroom using box-profile iron sheets, alongside essential tiling and electrical works. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to ensure that students in Mwala constituency have access to quality education facilities, supporting the region's wider goal of achieving 100% transition to Grade 9.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Hon. Kawaya emphasized the importance of education in social transformation and economic growth. "The people of Mwala are thirsty for development, and that is exactly what I am committed to delivering. The collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Mwala NG-CDF will ensure that our children have the infrastructure they need to succeed and progress in their studies," he said.

This project underscores Kawaya's dedication to addressing educational gaps and providing lasting solutions that will empower the youth in Mwala, contributing to the broader vision of nationwide educational reforms.

The Grade 9 classroom is expected to ease the pressure on existing facilities and create a conducive learning environment for students, helping them transition smoothly into the next phase of their education. The completion of the project will also play a crucial role in reducing overcrowding in classrooms, further supporting the achievement of the government's goal of 100% transition from primary to secondary education.

The Mwala MP further called on local residents and stakeholders to support the initiative and work together in building a brighter future for the youth in the region.

The partnership between the Ministry of Education and Mwala NG-CDF has already started to make significant strides in enhancing the quality of education, and the completion of the Grade 9 classroom will be another key milestone in this journey.
