President William Ruto has reiterated his commitment to improving the education sector by overseeing the ongoing construction of vital infrastructure in several schools across the country. The head of state highlighted the government's dedication to addressing gaps in education and enhancing performance, particularly through expanded facilities to accommodate more students.
During a recent visit to Nairobi School, President Ruto inspected the progress of a new Science Complex, two dormitories, and eight classrooms. These facilities, he noted, are part of a broader initiative to equip schools with the necessary resources to foster academic excellence. The new structures will support the growing student population and provide a conducive learning environment for Kenya's future leaders.
"We are committed to ensuring that our children have the opportunity to realize their full potential in society. These reforms will contribute not only to the development of individuals but to the overall transformation of Kenya," President Ruto said.
The president also announced similar construction projects at Lenana School, State House Girls' School, and Jamhuri High School. These schools, which serve a wide range of students from across Nairobi County, are set to benefit from new classrooms, dormitories, and other vital infrastructure. The expansion is aimed at increasing student enrollment and improving access to quality education.
“By expanding the capacity of these schools, we are providing more opportunities for young people, especially from Nairobi County, to access education that will prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow,” President Ruto added.
The government’s focus on expanding and upgrading school infrastructure is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Kenya’s education system. By addressing current challenges, the government aims to ensure that all students have access to the resources they need to thrive academically and contribute meaningfully to the country’s future.
This initiative reflects the administration’s ongoing commitment to achieving high educational standards and building a strong foundation for Kenya’s socio-economic development.
