President Ruto Meets Former Governor Kiraitu Murungi

President William Ruto has met with former Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi at State House in Nairobi to address concerns raised by the former governor regarding the recent Cabinet appointments. The meeting comes after Kiraitu Murungi publicly accused President Ruto of sidelining Meru County in the latest government appointments, which has sparked debate in the region.

Kiraitu Murungi, a key political figure in Meru, had expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of representation from the county in the new Cabinet, arguing that Meru had been overlooked despite its significant contribution to President Ruto’s election victory.

In a statement, Murungi questioned the President’s commitment to balancing regional representation in his administration, particularly in the Cabinet, which is seen as a crucial reflection of the country's diversity and unity.
