A historic gathering took place today in Siaya County as President William Samoei Ruto, his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Kakuta Museveni, and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga graced the Piny Luo Cultural Festival.
The festival, held annually to celebrate and preserve the Luo culture, brought together leaders, residents, and cultural enthusiasts from across the region.
This year’s event was particularly significant as it featured the participation of two sitting heads of state—Ruto and Museveni—alongside Raila Odinga, marking a show of unity among East African leaders.
