wet East Member of Parliament Kangogo Bowen has expressed his excitement ahead of the President's upcoming visit to the region on Thursday, 9th January 2025. The President will officially open three key institutions: Litein Girls, Kerio Valley Technical Institute, and the KMTC Kerio Valley Campus, marking a significant milestone in the area’s educational and economic development.
The opening of these institutions is expected to create new opportunities for the residents of Marakwet East and the wider Kerio Valley region. Litein Girls and the Kerio Valley Technical Institute will provide critical educational infrastructure, while the KMTC Kerio Valley Campus will enhance access to healthcare training, equipping local youth with the skills necessary to contribute to the region’s growth.
"This is a historic day for Marakwet East. The opening of these institutions reflects the commitment of the national government to improve access to quality education and vocational training in our region," said MP Kangogo Bowen. "These institutions will play a key role in empowering our youth, improving local livelihoods, and contributing to the overall development of Marakwet East and the Kerio Valley."
