Speaking after a meeting with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) top management, led by Managing Director Mrs. Esther Ngari, and Dr. Wilson K. Aruasa, a member of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors on Health, PS Kimtai emphasized the importance of the new ISO 7101:2023 Standard.
"This standard is a vital tool designed to revolutionize healthcare management in a rapidly evolving and complex environment. It underscores the need for high standards of quality and excellence in service delivery," said Kimtai.
The meeting, held at the Executive Office of the President, delved into the implications of the ISO 7101:2023 Standard for Kenya’s healthcare system. The standard establishes a global baseline for healthcare management systems, aiming to enhance efficiency, consistency, and patient care outcomes.
PS Kimtai expressed optimism about the standard’s potential to drive transformative change, noting its alignment with the government’s healthcare priorities. "This is a crucial step as we shepherd major healthcare transformations in our country. It ensures that our systems meet international benchmarks while addressing local needs," he added.
