The County Multi-Purpose Hall under construction in Racecourse Ward is on track to be completed by October this year, according to the County Department of Youth Affairs and Sports. Chief Officer for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mark Some, praised the progress of the project during an inspection on Tuesday, emphasizing its importance for local youth empowerment.
"So far, so good," Mr. Some remarked. "The contractor has assured us that with the current pace, roofing will be completed by June or July."
The state-of-the-art facility, which is being built to serve as a hub for youth activities, will provide a versatile space for artistic performances, video productions, and a variety of indoor and outdoor games. According to Mr. Some, the hall will play a crucial role in fostering creativity and talent among the youth in the region.
"The Youth Empowerment agenda is a key priority in the governance of H.E. Governor Jonathan Bii," said Mr. Some. "This hall will provide a platform for our young people to explore their talents and engage in constructive activities that contribute to their personal development."
The project has garnered significant attention due to its potential to transform how youth in the area engage with sports, arts, and entertainment. By offering spaces for both recreation and artistic expression, the hall is expected to support the monetization of youth talents, creating new opportunities for the younger generation.
The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports is actively overseeing the project to ensure it meets its completion timeline, with a focus on delivering a world-class facility for the community. With the expected completion date set for October, the County is poised to open a new chapter in youth development and engagement.
As the project nears its final stages, it is clear that the County Multi-Purpose Hall will be a game-changer for the youth of Racecourse Ward and beyond, offering them opportunities for growth, creativity, and success.
