In a miraculous escape, Bonny Khalwale, the Senator for Kakamega County, announced today that his son, TKhalwale, survived a horrifying road accident last night in Ainabkoi, near Eldoret, with no injuries.
The accident, which occurred on the busy Eldoret-Nakuru highway, involved a head-on collision between multiple vehicles. Despite the severity of the crash, TKhalwale walked away unscathed, a fact that his father described as nothing short of a divine miracle.
"I am deeply grateful to God for sparing my son’s life," said Bonny Khalwale, visibly emotional but relieved. "What happened last night was an unimaginable ordeal, and I can only thank the Almighty for the protection of my son. It is a reminder that we must cherish each day, for life is fragile."
The accident, which caused major traffic disruptions, saw several other casualties, though TKhalwale's vehicle remained intact, with no physical harm coming to him. Local authorities responded quickly to the scene, and investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
Senator Khalwale, known for his active role in national politics and his strong voice on matters of security and road safety, also called on the government to invest more in infrastructure improvements to prevent such incidents in the future.
“I urge the relevant authorities to look into this issue with urgency. The state of our roads is a critical concern. We can never be complacent when lives are at risk,” Khalwale emphasized.
