Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Hon. Rebecca Miano, EGH, is spearheading efforts to position Kenya as a premier global tourist destination. While in Melbourne, she hosted a delegation of Australian-based international outbound travel agents, alongside key industry captains and tour operators, all with a strong interest in promoting Kenya as a top-tier travel choice.
The engagement, aimed at deepening Kenya’s footprint in the international tourism market, provided a platform to showcase the country’s rich biodiversity, iconic wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant cultural heritage. CS Miano emphasized Kenya’s diverse tourism offerings, ranging from world-renowned safari experiences to pristine beaches and adventure tourism, which make it an unrivaled destination for global travelers.
"This is a significant opportunity to strengthen Kenya’s presence in the Australian travel market. Our goal is to forge strategic partnerships that will drive more international visitors to experience the magic of Kenya,” CS Miano remarked.
The session also focused on Kenya’s commitment to sustainable tourism, conservation efforts, and enhanced infrastructure to ensure an exceptional travel experience for international visitors. By engaging with top industry players, the Ministry aims to attract more Australian tourists and investors into Kenya’s thriving tourism sector.
This initiative aligns with the government’s broader strategy to diversify and expand Kenya’s tourism markets, reinforcing its position as a must-visit global destination.
