Drama Unfolds in Moi’s Bridge as Oscar Sudi Lectures Disruptors at Fundraiser Event

Tensions flared in Moi’s Bridge on Sunday during a fundraising event for victims of a recent fire incident, when Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi confronted individuals he accused of attempting to disrupt the proceedings. The disturbance, which reportedly involved heckling and interruptions, led to Sudi giving a stern lecture to the alleged paid goons, who UDA leaders at the event claimed were hired by a local politician.

Sudi, known for his outspoken nature, was visibly agitated as he addressed the crowd. "I'm shocked. Instead of giving money to help the youth start businesses, we're giving them money to fight and disrupt events. Let's stop this outdated politics," Sudi said, expressing his frustration at the use of young people for political disruptions.

While the exact source of the chaos remains unclear, several UDA leaders at the event insinuated that the individuals causing the disruption were hired to create unrest. Sudi also took the opportunity to criticize the manipulation of youth for divisive political purposes, sending a clear message to unnamed individuals.

The lawmaker warned leaders against creating division through the youth, stressing the importance of using resources to empower young people rather than encouraging them to engage in destructive politics. "We should be supporting the youth to build businesses, not to fight and cause chaos," Sudi emphasized during his impassioned speech.

Sudi also hinted at tensions within the UDA leadership in Uasin Gishu, alluding to potential fractures and differences of opinion among local political figures. Despite this, the Kapseret MP reassured the public that his support would extend beyond his own constituency. "I will support all, not just my people but everyone, far and wide. My help will reach beyond my constituency," he promised.

The drama at the event shed light on the ongoing political rivalries and challenges facing Uasin Gishu leaders as they work to address the needs of their constituents. Sudi's fiery remarks serve as a reminder of the volatile nature of local politics, especially as leaders navigate the delicate balance between unity and division in the region.
