The family of the late Chief and Director Agostino Odongo has sparked a national debate after returning political contributions made by MP Peter Nabulindo and former Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa during the late chief’s funeral. In an unprecedented move, the family returned Nabulindo’s monetary donation of KSh 15,000, with an additional KSh 200 to cover the withdrawal fee. Similarly, Echesa’s KSh 50,000 contribution was also sent back.
