Uasin Gishu Woman Representative and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Gladys Boss Sholei, officially opened the newly completed facilities at Mogochoret Comprehensive School in Mosop Village, Cheptiret/Kipchamo ward. The successful project, which was launched on October 31st, was completed in a record three months, thanks to the generous support from ALTEN Solar Farms.
The new facilities include a modern administration block, an upgraded ablution block, a reliable water tower, and beautifully renovated classrooms, marking a significant step towards improving the learning environment for students. Speaking at the event, Hon. Sholei expressed her gratitude to ALTEN Solar Farms for their incredible contribution, highlighting the positive impact the development will have on the school community.
“This project is a game-changer for our students,” said Hon. Sholei. “With these new facilities, we are providing our students with a better, more conducive learning environment, ensuring that they have the necessary tools to succeed and thrive. Education is the key to our future, and we must continue to invest in our schools to guarantee that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.”
Hon. Sholei also emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in driving educational development and urged more organizations to follow ALTEN Solar Farms’ example in supporting local schools.
