Trans Nzoia County, February 12, 2025 – In a significant step towards improving education in Trans Nzoia County, Governor George Natembeya today hosted the Giants Group of Nairobi Twiga, led by Mr. Nakesh Besai and Mrs. Chetna Besai. The group made a generous donation of KES 2 million worth of books and learning materials, aimed at supporting vulnerable learners in the region.

The donation, facilitated through the George Natembeya Foundation, will benefit five schools across the county, including Kiminini Comprehensive School, Sikhendu Primary School, Panocal Comprehensive School, Muungano Comprehensive School, and Sinoko Bahati Comprehensive School. These schools, which have been identified as vulnerable, will now have access to vital learning resources to support their students' educational journey.

"I am deeply honored to receive such a generous contribution to the education sector in Trans Nzoia County," Governor Natembeya said. "The books and learning materials donated will make a significant difference in the lives of many students who face challenges in accessing educational resources. On behalf of the people of Trans Nzoia, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Besai, and the entire Giants Group of Nairobi Twiga, for their unwavering commitment to improving education in our county."

The George Natembeya Foundation, which is dedicated to combating illiteracy and promoting educational access, has expressed its commitment to collaborating with like-minded partners who share the common goal of empowering young minds and ensuring quality education for all.

Governor Natembeya reaffirmed the county's openness to partnerships that aim to create a better future for its students, particularly in underserved areas.

"We are always open to working with individuals and organizations that share our vision of a brighter, more educated Trans Nzoia. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of our children and ensure that they have the tools they need to succeed in life," the Governor added.

The donation ceremony marks a vital milestone in the George Natembeya Foundation's ongoing efforts to address educational challenges in the county. It is a reflection of the collective responsibility to uplift communities and ensure that every child has access to the resources necessary for their academic and personal development.
