In a heartwarming gesture aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged pupils, the JAKIM Foundation, led by Jared Kimetto, partnered with several organizations to support students at Ngoisa Comprehensive Primary School in Uasin Gishu County. The event, which took place today, saw a generous donation of school shoes, uniforms, and sanitary pads to needy learners, helping to alleviate some of the challenges many students face in accessing quality education.
The collaboration between JAKIM Foundation and partners, including the Zero Barefoot Campaign and Environment, as well as the Eddah Cheptab Reds Rotich Foundation, was a key initiative aimed at uplifting the lives of the pupils. The donations were intended to provide the children with essential school supplies that will help them focus on their studies and enhance their educational experience.
“We are here today to make a difference in the lives of these children. It’s not just about providing the physical resources, but also about showing them that they matter and that we care about their future,” said Jared Kimetto, the founder of JAKIM Foundation, as he addressed the students during the donation ceremony.
The Modern Man Foundation, led by Kimutai Chelilim, also played a crucial role in supporting the boy child during the event. Their contribution ensured that both girls and boys at the school received the necessary supplies to help them excel academically. Kimutai Chelilim emphasized that it was important to address the needs of both genders, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, is given an equal opportunity to succeed.
This initiative exemplifies a multi-sectoral approach to solving societal challenges, highlighting the power of strategic partnerships among various organizations. By coming together, these groups are demonstrating how youth-led solutions can have a lasting and positive impact on communities in need.
The donations were met with great appreciation from the school’s head teacher, staff, and the pupils, who expressed their gratitude for the support they received. The event not only provided students with vital resources but also served as a reminder of the importance of community and collective responsibility in addressing social challenges.
As the day came to a close, the sense of joy and optimism among the pupils was palpable, with many looking forward to returning to school with renewed confidence. The event underscored the importance of community involvement in creating lasting change and showed that when people come together with a shared purpose, they can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
Through their collective efforts, the JAKIM Foundation, Zero Barefoot Campaign, Eddah Cheptab Reds Rotich Foundation, and Modern Man Foundation have proven that positive change is possible when strategic partnerships are formed with the youth at the forefront of the movement.
