Kiambu Leaders Engage Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Development Agenda

Kiambu County is set for major development strides following a high-level meeting between local leaders and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki. The discussions focused on the county’s priority areas, aligning with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), which seeks to drive inclusive growth and economic empowerment.


Kiambu Woman Representative Ann Wamuratha, who was among the leaders in attendance, expressed gratitude to the Deputy President for providing a platform to address the county’s development needs. She emphasized that the engagement was crucial in ensuring the voices of Kiambu residents are heard at the national level.


During the meeting, leaders presented key concerns from various constituencies and wards, with a particular focus on infrastructure, healthcare, education, economic empowerment, and job creation. These sectors were highlighted as critical in transforming the county and improving the livelihoods of its people.


The session brought together several high-profile leaders, including National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Kabete MP Githua Wamacukuru, Kiambu Town MP Machua Waithaka, Lari MP Mburu Kahangara, Thika Town MP Alice Ng’ang’a, Ruiru MP Simon King’ara, Gatundu South MP GG Kagombe, Gatundu North MP Elijah Njoroge Kururia, Kiambaa MP John Njuguna Wanjiku, EALA MP Maina Karobia, as well as Members of the County Assembly and grassroots leaders.


Ann Wamuratha reaffirmed the commitment of Kiambu’s leadership to delivering tangible development projects that will uplift the county and enhance service delivery. She underscored the importance of collaboration between the national and county governments in achieving meaningful progress.


With continued engagements and policy-driven initiatives, Kiambu County stands to benefit from strategic investments that will boost economic opportunities and social welfare. The meeting with Deputy President Kindiki marks a significant step toward achieving the county’s development aspirations, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and projects are implemented effectively.
