In a move to strengthen collaboration between healthcare providers and teachers' insurance, the 12 Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Executive Secretaries from the North Rift region, including Turkana, West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, and Nandi counties, visited Top Hill Hospital .
The delegation, led by the Executive Secretaries, held a constructive meeting with the hospital management, including Dr. C. Koech Director operations, Mr. Ronald Kemoi (Finance Manager), Mr. John Tabot (Liaison Officer), and Mr. Joseph Bor (Marketing Manager). The discussions focused on ways to improve the relationship between the hospital, the service provider, and MAKL, the teachers' insurance provider.
The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between educational and healthcare sectors to ensure that teachers receive comprehensive, efficient healthcare services. As key stakeholders in the healthcare of teachers, both parties committed to exploring more effective solutions to meet the growing healthcare needs of teachers and their families.
