Moisbridge MCA Announces Mega Fundraising and Prayer Event for Fire Victims

By Wasike Elvis

Moisbridge Ward MCA, Bishop Patrick Kimeli, has extended an invitation to all community members to join a mega fundraising and prayer event scheduled for 2nd February. The event will be held to support families who recently lost their property in a devastating fire that destroyed millions of shillings worth of goods in the area.

In a statement, Bishop Kimeli called on both local and national leaders, including the governor, MPs, senators, and other officials, to join hands in supporting the affected families. “This is a time for the community to come together in solidarity. We will gather to pray for the victims and raise funds to help them rebuild their lives,” he said. “This event will not be about politics, chest-thumping, or division. It’s about standing with those who are suffering, and showing compassion in their time of need.”

The fundraising and prayer event will serve as an opportunity for people to offer both spiritual and financial support to the fire victims. The MCA reminded the public that generosity is a blessing, quoting, “God blesses the hand that gives,” and encouraged everyone to contribute in whatever way they can.

“This is not just about financial support; it’s about showing our neighbors that we care. It’s a moment for unity, compassion, and community spirit,” Bishop Kimeli added.

The event will take place in Moisbridge, and all are invited to participate. Community members, leaders, and well-wishers are encouraged to attend and contribute to helping the families who have lost everything in the fire.

Governor Jonathan Bii, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Senator Jackson Mandago, and other leaders are expected to grace the occassion.
