Oscar Sudi Celebrates Mrs. Sally Lagat’s Remarkable 38-Year Teaching Career in Retirement Ceremony




 In a heartfelt celebration, Kapseret Member of Parliament, Hon. Oscar Sudi, joined the family of Sammy Lagat from Kapsambu, Kabarsaiya of Mosoriot Village in Nandi County, to honor Mrs. Sally Lagat on her well-deserved retirement after an illustrious 38-year career in education.


The event, which brought together friends, family, and prominent leaders, was a momentous occasion for both the Lagat family and the community. Mrs. Sally Lagat, known for her dedication to nurturing young minds, retired after nearly four decades of service to the education sector, leaving behind a legacy that has touched countless lives.


Among the distinguished guests at the retirement ceremony were Hon. Caleb Kositany, the Chairperson of the Kenya Airports Authority; Emmanuel Talam, the Press Secretary to the Presidential Communication Service (PCS); and Hon. Joseph Lagat, the Chairperson of the National Mining Corporation. These leaders, along with the many family members and friends, came together to celebrate Mrs. Lagat’s remarkable contributions to education.


Also in attendance was Eric 'Chieftain' Korir, the son of Mr. Sammy Kipkorir Lagat and Mrs. Sally Lagat, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his mother for her unwavering commitment to her profession and family.


“I am honored to be here today, celebrating the exceptional career of Mama Chieftain. Her dedication to shaping the future of countless students has truly been inspiring,” said Hon. Sudi. "Her retirement marks the end of an era in education, and we are all better for it."


Hon. Sudi took the opportunity to extend his warmest congratulations to Mrs. Lagat, wishing her a joyful and fulfilling retirement. “As you transition into this new chapter of life, may it be filled with peace, joy, and continued impact on the lives of those around you," he added.
