Over 1,500 Webuye West Residents Benefit from Free Medical Camp by Hon. Peter Palang’a

Over 1,500 residents of Webuye West Constituency have received free medical treatment in a major healthcare initiative sponsored by parliamentary aspirant Hon. Peter Palang’a. The free medical camp, held at Misikhu Friends Primary School, provided much-needed healthcare services to residents suffering from various illnesses, highlighting the urgent need for improved medical access in the region.

The camp offered free check-ups, medication, and consultations with healthcare professionals, ensuring that many low-income families received treatment they otherwise could not afford. Long queues formed early in the morning as residents turned up in large numbers, underscoring the growing demand for healthcare services in the constituency.

Addressing the attendees, Hon. Palang’a said the initiative was part of his commitment to giving back to the community and improving local healthcare systems.

> “No one should suffer because they cannot afford medical care. This free medical camp is a way to support our people and ensure they receive the treatment they need,” he stated.

Hon. Palang’a also used the platform to urge residents to register with the Social Health Authority (SHA), a government scheme aimed at ensuring universal healthcare coverage. He emphasized the importance of early registration to help families manage medical expenses.

The event was met with overwhelming appreciation from the community, with many beneficiaries praising the aspirant’s effort. The initiative has reignited conversations about the state of healthcare in Webuye West, with calls for long-term solutions to improve medical facilities and services.

As the 2027 elections approach, the event has positioned Hon. Palang’a as a candidate prioritizing community welfare, putting pressure on other aspirants to address pressing healthcare concerns in the region.
