President William Ruto Mourns the Passing of Veteran Broadcaster Leonard Mambo Mbotela

 


The nation is in mourning following the death of renowned veteran broadcaster Leonard Mambo Mbotela, whose voice and legacy have left an indelible mark on Kenya’s media landscape.


In a heartfelt tribute, President William Ruto expressed profound sorrow at the loss of Mbotela, describing him as a gifted and powerful broadcaster who played a pivotal role in shaping Kenya’s radio culture. “Leonard Mambo Mbotela was more than just a broadcaster; he was a national treasure,” said President Ruto. “His captivating football commentaries and his iconic program ‘Je, Huu Ni Ungwana?’ defined an era in Kenyan broadcasting and resonated with generations of listeners.”
