Sir Farouk T. Kibet Opens State-of-the-Art Computer Laboratory at AIC Ngenyilel Secondary School

Turbo Constituency, Uasin Gishu County – In a significant stride towards enhancing education, Sir Farouk T. Kibet, the Patron of The Great Chepsaita Cross Country Run, officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art Computer Laboratory at AIC Ngenyilel Secondary School today. This milestone marks a new chapter for the school, opening up a world of opportunities in the realm of technology and innovation for its students.

The opening ceremony was a moment of pride for both the school and the local community, as the new facility is set to equip students with vital digital skills that are essential in today’s world. The modern laboratory is part of the broader commitment to providing students with access to quality education and cutting-edge resources.

AIC Ngenyilel Secondary School is one of the 10 schools that benefited from last year’s Ksh 10 million scholarship fund, with 100 students receiving Ksh 1 million in school fees. This initiative, aimed at making education accessible to all, has been a game-changer for many students who otherwise would have faced challenges in continuing their education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sir Farouk emphasized the importance of education as a tool for empowerment. "Education is the most powerful tool we can give our young generation, and today, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring no child is left behind," he said. The Patron also acknowledged that the Computer Laboratory would significantly contribute to students’ academic growth, allowing them to explore new possibilities in a technology-driven world.

The Great Chepsaita Cross Country Run, a major annual event, continues to be at the heart of these transformative initiatives. Beyond being a sporting event, it has become a movement that is positively impacting the lives of young people in the community. "The Great Chepsaita Cross Country Run is more than a race—it’s a movement transforming lives, one stride at a time," Sir Farouk added.

As the community gathered to witness the official opening, the excitement was palpable. Students now have a valuable resource at their fingertips—one that will prepare them for the future and give them the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

With the new computer lab, scholarship programs, and continued efforts to support education, the Great Chepsaita Cross Country Run’s impact is only growing, providing students with the tools to run towards brighter futures. Together, we Run for Education.
