Ms. Emma Murangiri of TEJATI recently met with Dr. Jane Njuguna, Director of the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI), to explore collaboration in forest research, biodiversity conservation, and environmental management. The partnership aims to drive sustainable agricultural innovation while empowering youth and enhancing seed systems.
Through this collaboration, TEJATI and KEFRI will strengthen seed production and distribution to support afforestation and reforestation efforts. KEFRI’s expertise in forestry research, combined with TEJATI’s commitment to sustainability, will improve access to high-quality seeds, ensuring ecological restoration and improved livelihoods.
Additionally, the partnership will invest in youth training and capacity-building programs, equipping young people with the skills needed for environmental conservation and sustainable land management. By integrating research-driven solutions, TEJATI and KEFRI seek to create lasting environmental and agricultural impacts across Kenya.
