Young people must rise, take charge, and seize the countless job opportunities available to them—this was the resounding message from Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, Roseline Njogu, as she joined Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie to launch the Dagoretti South Job Fair 2025.
With hundreds of eager job seekers in attendance, PS Njogu passionately encouraged the youth to be intentional about their careers, urging them to embrace Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to enhance their employability.
“The government is opening doors, both locally and internationally, but no one will walk through them for you. You must be ready, skilled, and determined to seize these opportunities,” she told the audience.
She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to economic empowerment, emphasizing that global markets are actively seeking skilled Kenyan workers.
MP John Kiarie echoed her sentiments, stressing that collaborations between the government, private sector, and learning institutions will help bridge the employment gap.
The Dagoretti South Job Fair 2025 was a testament to these efforts, providing a platform for young people to network, learn, and take a step closer to their dream careers.
As the job market continues to evolve, the challenge remains clear—will the youth take up the call and shape their own future
