The stage is set for the highly anticipated 2025 Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show, taking place from March 5th to 8th, 2025, at the Eldoret National Branch.
The event, expected to draw over 80,000 visitors and exhibitors, promises to be a spectacular display of innovation, technology, and sustainability in the agricultural sector.
Susan Seron, Chairperson of the ASK Eldoret National Branch, has called on farmers, industry professionals, and the general public to attend in large numbers. With over 200 exhibitors from various sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, small and medium enterprises, and hospitality, the event is poised to provide valuable insights into the latest advancements in farming methods and technologies.
“This year, we have a diverse range of exhibitors, all showcasing cutting-edge technologies and innovations that are crucial for promoting sustainability across industries,” Seron said.
“The theme of the show, ‘Promoting Innovation and Technology in Smart Agriculture,’ reflects the importance of embracing new farming methods, particularly in response to the challenges posed by global warming.”
The event will feature contributions not only from local exhibitors but also from neighboring countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda. These international participants will highlight the unique advancements their respective countries have made in agriculture and related industries, further enriching the exchange of ideas.
A recent media spot check at the showground revealed high anticipation for the event, particularly among livestock farmers. The livestock sections, including animal actioning, are expected to attract significant attention.
Seron dispelled the misconception that the ASK Show is primarily a children’s event, emphasizing the wealth of knowledge available for farmers, particularly in livestock management.
“Many farmers, especially those focused on livestock, regularly visit these sections, and we expect strong attendance. The show offers valuable lessons in various aspects of farming, including livestock care and management, which are critical to the success of the agricultural sector,” she added.
In addition to the agricultural exhibitors, the show will also feature new participants such as representatives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the National Legal Services, who will provide essential resources and information to attendees.
The event will be officially opened on March 7th, 2025, by President William Ruto, who is expected to deliver a keynote address. Kesses MP CPA Julius Ruto, accompanied by Dr. Erick Ruto, President of the Chamber of Commerce , will attend on the first day, while Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii, who serves as the County’s patron, will grace the occasion on the second day.
“We are excited to offer this opportunity for farmers, exhibitors, and industry professionals to network, learn, and explore new technologies. This event is not just about showcasing products but also about fostering collaboration and advancing agricultural practices that will help farmers adapt and thrive in today’s ever-changing landscape,” Seron said.
The ASK Show is set to provide an invaluable platform for individuals and organizations seeking to embrace modern agricultural practices, and with the event’s robust lineup of exhibitors and activities, attendees are in for an engaging and informative experience.
