Alphax Academy has successfully elected a new student leadership team for the year 2025, with Asha Mumo emerging as the new Student President in a highly contested election. Mumo garnered 126 votes, which made up 35.8% of the total votes, securing the top spot in the academy’s student government.
The position of Deputy President was also fiercely contested, and Natasha Jeptoo came in second place, receiving 87 votes, or 24.7%, to claim the role.
The full results of the election were as follows:
- Asha Mumo – 126 votes (35.8%) – Student President
- Natasha Jeptoo – 87 votes (24.7%) – Deputy President
- Frank Mathai – 60 votes (17.0%)
- Abbie Mwari – 26 votes (7.4%)
- Abel Kigen – 15 votes (4.3%)
- Kerry Chirindo – 4 votes (1.1%)
The election, which saw a high level of student participation, was a true reflection of democratic processes at Alphax Academy. The students turned out in large numbers to cast their votes, showcasing a strong commitment to student leadership and governance.
