Chebisaas Girls Shine in KCSE as CS Soipan Tuya Attends Thanksgiving Ceremony




Chebisaas Girls High School in Aldai Constituency, Nandi County, has once again demonstrated academic excellence in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations. The school’s remarkable performance was celebrated during a thanksgiving and prize-giving ceremony attended by high-ranking government officials, parents, teachers, and students.

The highlight of the event was the presence of Cabinet Secretary for Defence, Hon. Soipan Tuya, EGH, who presided over the occasion. The ceremony, hosted by the school's Chief Principal, Mrs. Jane Legeck, also saw the participation of Nandi Governor Stephen Araap Sang, Aldai MP Hon. Marriane Kitany, and other county leaders.

Governor Sang congratulated the students for their outstanding results, commending their dedication, discipline, and hard work. He also recognized the efforts of teachers and parents in nurturing academic excellence. “We are immensely proud of your achievements, which reflect not only your hard work but also the dedication of your educators and the support of your families,” said the governor.

CS Tuya expressed her joy in joining the school community in celebrating their success. She applauded the students for their impressive results and urged them to aim even higher. During the event, the school unveiled its ambitious 2025 performance target, aiming for even greater academic achievements in the coming year.

“It is an honor to be here today to celebrate these bright young minds. Your success is a testament to your determination and the quality of education you are receiving. I encourage you to remain focused and to continue striving for excellence,” said CS Tuya.

In addition to her role as the chief guest, CS Tuya was officially named the patron of Chebisaas Girls High School. She expressed her gratitude for the recognition and pledged to support the institution in its academic and infrastructural growth.

Following the ceremony, CS Tuya visited Aldai Girls Secondary School and Aldai Boarding Primary School, where she engaged with students and faculty, encouraging them to pursue academic excellence.

The thanksgiving event marked a significant moment of motivation for the students, inspiring them to work even harder in their studies.
