Tragedy struck the Langas Police Station this morning when Chief Inspector (C.I.) Philip Kegode Karani, the Officer Commanding Station (OCS), fell seriously ill while on duty. At approximately 10:20 AM, C.I. Karani began complaining of severe chest pains while in the office. He was immediately rushed to Top Hill Hospital for medical attention.
Upon arrival, doctors diagnosed Karani with a heart attack. Despite the best efforts of the medical team to resuscitate him, the officer tragically succumbed to the condition while receiving treatment.
His body has been transferred to Rescourse Hospital morgue, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Family members have been informed of the unfortunate incident, and arrangements are being made to honor the fallen officer.
C.I. Karani, a dedicated public servant, is remembered for his commitment to law enforcement and the safety of the Langas community. The police force, alongside his family, is mourning his untimely passing.
