Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno Purchases Land for Late Chumeek’s Family to Resolve Long-Standing Land Dispute

 



Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, Hon. Johana Ngeno, has taken a significant step in resolving a long-standing land dispute that had kept the body of the late Chumeek in the mortuary for nearly three years. In a heartfelt gesture, Hon. Ngeno purchased land for the late Chumeek’s family as a solution to the unresolved land issue that had kept the family locked in a legal battle for an extended period.


The MP officially handed over the title deed to the family during a ceremony held at Motosiet Village, Mogondo Ward, Emurua Dikirr, offering much-needed closure to the family who had been grappling with the aftermath of their loved one’s death.


Speaking during the handover, Hon. Ngeno expressed his commitment to resolving such community issues, emphasizing the importance of family and peace in the region. He stated, "Today, we mark the end of a painful chapter for the Chumeek family, and I am glad that we could provide a lasting solution. This is a testament to our dedication to improving the lives of our people."


The dispute over the land had been a source of great distress for the Chumeek family, with legal proceedings dragging on in court for years, preventing them from burying their loved one. The family’s ordeal ended as Ngeno, understanding the gravity of the situation, stepped in to offer a permanent solution.


Locals in Motosiet Village and Mogondo Ward praised the MP for his compassionate and swift action in helping the family. The resolution has been welcomed as a victory for justice and humanity, allowing the family to finally lay their beloved relative to rest.


With the land issue now resolved, the Chumeek family can now proceed with the burial of their loved one, bringing an end to a painful chapter and restoring a sense of peace to the community.
