Emusire Boys High School has cemented its status as an emerging academic and sports powerhouse after delivering an impressive mean score of 7.5 in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations. The extra-county school, under the leadership of Senior Principal Musa Obura, registered 134 students with direct university entry, solidifying its position among the top-performing institutions in the region.
The school posted remarkable results, including 4 A-, 13 B+, 31 B, 52 B-, and 34 C+ grades. Principal Obura attributed the stellar performance to early syllabus completion, rigorous revision programs, and an unwaveringly dedicated teaching staff who went above and beyond to prepare students for the national exams.
"Our teachers worked tirelessly, often burning the midnight oil to ensure learners were thoroughly prepared. The unwavering support from the Board of Management has also been instrumental in creating a conducive learning environment," Obura remarked.
Beyond academics, Emusire Boys has also made a name for itself in sports, particularly football, where several students have progressed to reputable teams across the country. The school has actively nurtured talented athletes, reinforcing its commitment to holistic student development.
Since assuming office, the principal has spearheaded a series of renovations and infrastructural improvements, reinforcing his vision of transforming Emusire Boys into a premier academic hub in the Western region.
However, despite the school’s success, poor fee payment remains a significant hurdle, hindering smooth operations. Obura urged parents and guardians to prioritize fee payments to sustain the school’s academic and co-curricular progress.
